Privacy notice
This notice covers the website kwazzl.app and the Kwazzl app for Android and iOS, including its test versions on Google Play and Apple TestFlight.

The short version
- The Kwazzl app has no account and doesn't send any personal data to us. Your progress stays on your device.
- The website has no sign-up, no cookies, and no analytics or tracking.
- If you join a test, we know the email address you use for Google Play or TestFlight.
The app
The current test version of Kwazzl runs on your device. It doesn't collect or transmit personal data, usage statistics, or device identifiers to us, and it contains no advertising. Anything the app stores, such as your progress, stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
Joining a test
To join a test, you give us your email address: the one for your Google account (Android) or the one we send your TestFlight invitation to (iOS). We add it to the tester list in the Google Play Console or App Store Connect. If you join TestFlight through a public link instead, Apple doesn't show us your name or email address. We use this only to give you access to the test and, occasionally, to contact you about it. If you send us feedback, we use your message, any screenshots you attach, and your email address to reply and improve Kwazzl.
Legal basis: your request to take part (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We delete your address from the tester list when the test ends or when you ask us to, whichever comes first.
Google Play
On Android, the app is distributed through Google Play, operated by Google Ireland Limited. Google processes data about your installation, such as device type, app version, and, if you have enabled it on your device, crash reports, and shows us some of it in aggregated form. Google is responsible for that processing. See the Google privacy policy.
Apple TestFlight and the App Store
On iOS, test versions are distributed through TestFlight, operated by Apple Distribution International Ltd. While you test, TestFlight shares with us information about your use of the test version: your device model and iOS version, installs and sessions, crash logs, and any feedback you send through TestFlight. We use it only to find and fix problems in Kwazzl. Apple is responsible for its own processing. See the Apple privacy policy and the TestFlight privacy information.
Gameplay statistics (not yet)
We may later want to understand how the app is used, for example how long players spend in each scene. The app doesn't do this today. Before any version collects such data, we'll update this notice to say exactly what is collected, why, and for how long, and we'll ask for your consent where the law requires it.
The website
When you visit kwazzl.app, our server automatically records technical data: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, your browser's user agent, and the referring page. We use this only to deliver the site and keep it secure, and we don't combine it with other data. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
To display the 3D scene, your browser loads the three.js library from jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net), which receives your IP address in the process. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. See the jsDelivr privacy policy. All fonts are served from our own server.
Hosting
The website runs on a server in Germany provided by STRATO GmbH, which processes data on our behalf.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise any of these, email christian@kwazzl.app. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
Changes
When Kwazzl starts collecting anything new, we'll update this notice first. The date at the top shows the latest version.
